Eggs on the Brain

Plastic Easter eggs offer a fun, and easy, way to mix a holiday theme with traditional learning.

she's hiding the world's smallest bead:

Matching game ideas:

1. use words
2. use numbers
3. math problems
ex.  2 + 5, under one egg.  =7, under another egg
4. try healthy snacks or wrapped treats
5. use objects
ex.  opposites like big and little, living and non-living, etc..

memory game spin:

lift up each egg in order.
lift up one egg, every player looks at object, then recover with egg.
lift up second egg, look at item, recover.
before lifting up third egg, the player names what's under the first and second egg.
then lift up the third egg.
continue, by revealing first --the fourth, fifth, etc.. egg's object only.
after the leaving the "new" egg's object revealed, name the previous objects, in order.
check to see if answer is correct, by lifting egg up briefly and setting down again.
take turns with each try or when player gives incorrect answer.

Now, my kids are inventing their own games.  and i am observing, so i may expand on concepts.

oh boy, my son just held two eggs up to his chest and yelled, "BOOBIES!!!"  i guess i should have seen that comin'! lol
