Using My Noodle

I really don't know where I went wrong.
I made a pasta sauce from scratch. I had stumbled across a recipe, I just had to try! I followed the directions exactly. However, I was quite disappointed in the result. I discovered my disdain for the sauce AFTER I had layered it on top of the linguine. Why I opted NOT to try it, until then is still a mystery. Basically, I had a ton of sauce that I didn't like and felt certain my family would share my opinion.
It was dinnertime and I needed a solution fast. So, I rinsed the pasta in the strainer, riding the pasta of it's plague. Then I searched my cabinets for a jar of made sauce, and poured it over the newly rinsed, plain pasta.
Because I hate wasting food, I considered making myself eat it anyway. But, not wasting the cooked pasta eased my mind. And more importantly, my family had a dinner they enjoyed without having to wait for me to cook more noodles.
I don't know if this tip makes me cheap and lazy, or frugal and brilliant...or perhaps some other combination or a different word entirely! Either way, it is a tip, whether you dare to implement it in your own kitchen, is up to you. ;o)

p.s. Who knows, maybe the recipe tasted fine, and being pregnant at the time with my daughter is the REAL reason the sauce tasted odd. But, even after all that effort, its just wasn't worth holding on to!

Sound solution. When I first saw the title, I thought Mister Noodle and his brother the other Mister Noodle a la Elmo. I think that makes it clear whom I spend time with........I love my goldfish, my crayons too....
