Trash Spill

Ever have a trash bag nearly stuffed to the rim?  Ever have a trash bag stuffed to the rim and then leak all over the clean kitchen floor, as its being carried outside to the big, outdoor trashcan?  Its sticky.  And goodness knows, what that trail of spots on the floor is anyway..all you know for sure is, its got to be cleaned.  Immediately, stop whatever else you were doing, and clean, clean, clean.  (images of my babies tracking through unknown substances and possibly contaminating themselves with the Ewww, makes me EWWWW.)

Solution?  Leave the trash bag inside the garbage container, carry/slide/roll on wheels the can outside to the main trash bin.  THEN, remove stuffed trash bag and toss it directly into the bin.  Before returning it to the still clean kitchen, take a garden hose and swish the container out.  Once inside, sprinkle a bit of baking soda into the bottom of can, then add fresh bag.  Voila!  No more toxic waste spill trailing through the house.

Or, double-bag your trash.  Or, buy super pricey trash bags, so you may not suffer from possible leaks and breaks.  But, I'm way too frugal for that!  (always wondered, too, doesn't the fancier/stronger plastic, take longer to biodegrade?  dunno)

p.s.  hmmm....  should i admit that my husband refuses to let me take the trash out   lol ?

My trash bag is ALWAYS overflowing! And I really should allow that to happen since it's not the kid's job to take out the trash. Dragging the kitchin can out is a good idea.
